Mike Becker is a watercolor artist living in Bozemon Montana. He will literally take a finished work of art, find a space on a wall somewhere in his town...wait until nobody is watching, then hang it and leave. What happens next is people walk by it until somebody notices it and likes it enough to take it home for themselves. Usually they wait until nobody is watching before they take it.
It's a unique way to market your art and is much less harmful than something like graffiti. Mike leaves a note asking whoever takes the piece to take a photograph of them with it in it's new home and email it to him.
It's a completely interactive art experience and we were very fortunate to stumble upon Mike Becker. Find out more about him and his Public Display Project at www.mikebecker.org
